You’re invited to the AP Korea Parent Seminar, November 2026
This seminar’s theme is “A new way to understand your child: communication, behavior and school life”.
There may be times when you love your child dearly, yet aren’t sure how best to help. Perhaps your child finds it hard to say what they want. Perhaps a simple “no” leads to tears that leave you both tired. Or perhaps your child is growing in therapy but still finding the classroom hard. You don’t have to face this alone.
Three AP Korea supervisors will each lead a session on communication, behavior and school life. Drawing on real therapy experience, they’ll share practical ideas you can start using at home, not just theory.
After the talks, there’s time for Q&A, so you can talk through the real challenges your family is facing with our supervisors.
We hope you’ll join us for this morning of learning together.
Thank you.

The sessions
Session 110:10–11:00 · Jaeheon Lee, Supervisor
My child can talk. So why don’t they start a conversation?
For every parent, whether your child doesn’t speak yet or speaks but rarely starts a conversation.
- Why some children use language only when prompted, and how to encourage them to communicate on their own
- Simple ways to create everyday moments that invite your child to reach out to you
- How to use your child’s interests and favorite things to motivate meaningful communication
- How to expand a narrow set of interests so your child has more reasons to connect
Session 211:00–11:50 · Sungeun Koo, Supervisor
I’ve tried scolding and soothing. Why do the tantrums continue?
We’ll gently look at what’s behind the behavior, and how to help your child express their feelings in better ways.
- The real reasons behind challenging behavior, and why common reactions can unintentionally make it worse
- How to look at behavior from a new perspective so you can respond with confidence instead of guesswork
- Practical strategies to reduce tantrums and teach your child better ways to cope
- How to stay calm and consistent, even in the hardest moments
Session 312:00–13:10 · Jiheon Lee, Supervisor
My child does well in therapy. So why is school still hard?
Classrooms bring more friends, more noise and more waiting. We’ll look at how to help your child use their skills there too.
- Why skills learned in 1:1 settings don’t automatically carry over to school
- How to help your child use their skills in group activities and new environments
- What school readiness really looks like, beyond academics
- What you can do at home and with teachers to set your child up for a smoother transition
13:10–13:30 · All three supervisors
Q&A: your questions, answered
Bring the questions you’ve been holding on to. We’ll close with an open conversation with our AP supervisors.

Free 1:1 parent consultation (with your child)
Parents who attend the seminar and would like a consultation will be given priority booking for a free 1:1 parent consultation, with your child. An AP clinician will spend time with your child to understand their strengths and needs, then suggest learning goals and priorities.
- · Why your child’s challenging behavior happens, and what it does for them
- · Better ways to handle specific challenges
- · A review of your child’s current education and therapy
- · AP’s approach and curriculum
If you’ve been wondering “Why does my child do this?” or “How should I teach this?”, we recommend a 1:1 consultation.
